Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3DS Release Date: TBA
Metal Gear Solid has long been one of those franchises that have been reviewed well. Every time a new game is released, the fan boys come from the woodwork and start speaking of how amazing all of the games were. We’re in that crowd and since the release of the ever-popular Metal Gear on the original Playstation – people have been hooked on the games. Easily, one of the most popular was Snake Eater, a game that really blew the doors off of the rest of the franchise. It was announced that the game would be re-released on the 3DS, people literally starting hanging from the rafters, as it is really a big deal.
It’s a little overwhelming to consider all of the gameplay in Snake Eater, specifically when thinking about how small the 3DS is. Fortunately enough, the 3DS has already been heralded for its power, so it’s safe to assume that you won’t be missing out too much here. The best thing about the game, outside of running around as Solid Snake is how great the game looks. It’s been said its one of the best looking games that’ll be on the 3ds, its just too bad it is missing the initial launch. That’s definitely saying something, as there are a plethora of them that honestly look amazing, but Snake Eater on 3ds is looking as great as it did when it was released for the Playstation 2.
Like you we are hunting for more info on the 3DS version of this classic franchise title but so far all anyone has really seen is the now infamous ‘naked trailer’ seen below. Graphically it looks great, and we know the background story but the details of th Ubisoft’s 3DS port are still very much a mystery. Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater is the same game that people have fallen in love with the first time on PS2, one full of both stealth and action. The mechanics are the same; you have the ability to either sneak throughout the jungle, or just go guns blazing and mow down everything you see. While the latter will probably result in swift death, the option is there if you so choose. So, if you’re looking to stalk prey in the jungle and uncover a conspiracy of major governments, Snake Eater isn’t one to miss.
